2010

The quality management system ISO 9001:2008 established by Vacotec was certified successfully.
In the field of design and manufacturing of vacuum systems as well as in the sales of vacuum components, this management system is applied with success.

Website redesign. Vacotec appears with a new website in the world wide web. A clear layout and an attractive design facilitate the access to the information we offer.

2009

With the alpha200, Vacotec offers a compact and cost-efficient arc-coating system of the newest generation.

In collaboration with the R&D department of Eifeler Werkzeuge GmbH, Vacotec developed the SPCS technology. This technology has the quality of the filtered arc without the disadvantages.

2008

Vacotec developed the new alpha400P arc-coating system. The hollow cathodes used in the alpha400P allow (plasma) nitriding of the tools prior to the actual arc deposition without venting the chamber.

2007

Vacotec launches the alpha900P, a new generation of arc-coating systems. This large volume machine boasts with the latest technology and superior economics.

2006

In July 2006 Vacotec has become a division of the Eifeler Holding GmbH & Co KG, a leading company in thin film technology.

1980

Vacotec was founded in 1980 as a Swiss vacuum equipment manufacturer, developing and manufacturing PVD coating systems and special vacuum systems.
